Nigerian Dried Ginger Fields

Nigerian fields are overflowing with tons of dried ginger in Africa.  Nigeria has solidified its position as a major player in the global dried ginger market, producing a significant percentage of the world’s dried ginger supply. The dried ginger variety is harvested when the rhizomes are mature and has a stronger, more intense flavor due to a higher concentration of essential oils. Dried ginger is further processed into split dried ginger or whole dried ginger, and is the primary form in which Nigeria exports ginger.  Nigeria, as a leading dried ginger producer, exports a major portion of its dried ginger to countries like the United States, Great Britain and China where demand for ginger, especially in organic and health-conscious markets is on the rise.  Royal Metador Limited is one of the leading companies involved in processing and exporting Nigerian ginger.
